Uzbekistan Airways welcomed its 5 millionth passenger

       The country’s leading air carrier, Uzbekistan Airways, registered its 5 millionth passenger on flight HY604 on the Moscow-Tashkent route on the eve of New Year 2024. Thus, last year’s record was beaten - in 2022, the total number of passengers transported amounted to 4 million 200 thousand people.

An airline representative in Moscow reported to the head office of Uzbekistan Airways that on December 28, 2023, the 5 millionth passenger checked in for the flight. During the flight, congratulations were heard on board from the commander of the aircraft, who on behalf of the airline greeted the anniversary passenger.

Upon arrival at the Tashkent airport, the hero of the day was solemnly greeted by representatives of Uzbekistan Airways. The lucky one was Turgunova Dilshod, who was presented with memorable gifts and a certificate for a business class flight to any of the 75 regular destinations of Uzbekistan Airways.

Turgunova Dilshodа shared his impressions: “Today’s event came as a complete surprise to me. I am grateful to Uzbekistan Airways not only for safe and comfortable flights, but also for events that undoubtedly bring passengers even closer to the airline!”

It is worth noting that thanks to the expansion of the route network, the acquisition of new airliners and competent management, Uzbekistan Airways continues to increase its performance from year to year. According to preliminary calculations, in 2023 the airline operated 32 thousand flights and transported more than 48 thousand tons of cargo. In addition, several new regular routes were opened, the aircraft fleet was replenished with five Airbus A320neo, two L-410 and three ATR-72.

 

Uzbekistan Airways is the largest airline of Uzbekistan. It has the status of a Joint Stock Company. The fleet includes Boeing 767/787, Airbus A320ceo/320neo/321neo/A330, L-410, ATR-72 aircraft.

In 2022, the airline carried more than 3.9 million passengers. The airline is constantly expanding its route network and aircraft fleet, and improving its service. Ensuring flight safety always remains an unchanged priority.
