Uzbekistan Airways Takes Pilot Training to a New Level

Uzbekistan Airways has signed an agreement with Egmont Aviation for the practical training of students at its own flight school. The first group has already successfully completed their theoretical training and passed all their exams. They are currently undergoing practical training in Slovenia at the Egmont Aviation base.

Egmont Aviation is an EASA-certified flight school in Slovenia that provides training from PPL to ATPL levels, including license conversion programs and aviation English courses.

Starting in September of this year, a new group of students from Uzbekistan will begin training as part of the joint program. Theoretical training will be conducted entirely in Uzbekistan with the involvement of instructors and teachers from Egmont Aviation, while practical training will take place in Slovenia.

As noted by Shakhzod Ilyasovich Ikramov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Flight Operations, previously Uzbekistan Airways students were only able to fly within Uzbekistan's airspace. Now, by completing the practical part abroad, young Uzbekistan Airways pilots will be able to gain experience in the airspace of different European countries, adapt to international standards, and broaden their professional horizons.

Students from Uzbekistan will undergo practical flight training at Maribor Airport (Slovenia). The training is conducted under the guidance of qualified European instructors with many years of experience in training civil aviation pilots. Upon completion of the training, all cadets will receive an international EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) certificate, which is recognized in many countries around the world and opens up opportunities for further careers both in Uzbekistan and abroad.

In this way, Uzbekistan Airways is taking a confident step forward in the development of aviation education. Our future pilots are becoming part of the global aviation community, remaining loyal to their homeland and glorifying its name in the skies.
