Uzbekistan Airways: 35 years together with Independent Uzbekistan

A solemn event dedicated to the 35 anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place within Uzbekistan Airways.

Addressing the team, the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways noted that over 35 years our country has traversed an enormous path of creation and transformations. Together with Uzbekistan, the national civil aviation grew, changed, and developed.

Over these years, new destinations were opened, the air fleet was renewed, modern aviation technologies were mastered, and the technical and educational base was strengthened. But behind every achievement of the airline, every executed flight, and every new stage of the development, people always stood and stand.

These are the pilots and the flight attendants, the engineers and the technicians, the specialists of the ground services, and many other employees. Some of them continue to work within the airline today, some have already become veterans of the industry, having transferred the knowledge and the experience to the following generation of aviators. Namely the professionalism, the responsibility, and the devotion to the duty of these individuals throughout the decades created the history of Uzbekistan Airways.

The labor of the aviators received a high evaluation from the leadership of the country. In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the 35 anniversary of the Independence, five representatives of Uzbekistan Airways and the structures of the airline were awarded high state awards.

The pilot and instructor of the Boeing 787 Ulugbek Ishmakhamedov and the commander of the Airbus 321 aircraft Takhir Baybulatov were awarded the honorary title of "Honored Worker of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

The deputy commander of the Boeing 787 aircraft Zoid Kurganov was awarded the Order of "Mekhnat Shukhrati", the deputy commander of the detachment of pilots Yevgeny Nagay — the Order of "Dustlik", the leading engineer of Uzbekistan Airways Technics Aybek Dzhumadillaev — the Medal of "Shukhrat".

Another 164 employees of the Joint Stock Company of "Uzbekistan Airways" and the structural subdivisions of the company were marked by the commemorative sign of "35 years of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

These awards are the recognition not merely of the personal merits of our colleagues, but also of the labor of the large team of the civil aviation, which daily ensures the safety of flights, connects cities and countries, and brings a contribution to the development of Uzbekistan.

The 35 anniversary of the Independence is an opportunity to look back with pride upon the traversed path and to look forward with confidence.

Uzbekistan Airways will continue to develop together with the country, to open new routes, to master modern technologies, to strengthen the professional potential, and to worthily bring a contribution to the development of New Uzbekistan.

Let the airplanes of Uzbekistan Airways carry the flag of our country with pride across the entire world further on, and ahead new altitudes, new achievements, and an always clear, peaceful sky await us!
