Uzbekistan Airways welcomed the first LET L-410 aircraft at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov. The new type of aircraft was traditionally greeted with a water arch.

Uzbekistan Airways continues to expand the geography of flights not only abroad, but also within the country. The marketing strategy of the largest air carrier in Uzbekistan includes flights to domestic destinations. It is especially important now to consider such directions in which air traffic was suspended decades ago. The first of two L-410 aircraft of the Czech manufacturer LET Aircraft Industries, which arrived for these purposes, will be a logical continuation of the airline's chosen strategy.

LET L-410 aircraft, after acceptance at the factory and checking its flight characteristics, took off from Kunovice city heading for Tashkent. With stopovers for refueling in Bulgaria, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, it successfully arrived at its destination.

The aviation sector in Uzbekistan is developing on a large scale. The President of Uzbekistan set specific tasks to increase domestic flights. In the first half of last year, the airline operated 3,077 flights only to domestic destinations, over the same period in 2023, more than 3,200 flights were operated, which clearly shows the development of domestic tourism in our country.

L-410 is known for its reliability, safety and ability to operate in extreme climatic conditions. These types of aircraft are operated in more than 60 countries on five continents: Africa, Southeast Asia, South America and Europe. The aircraft is multi-purpose and is available in several variants. L-410 is the ideal technical and best economic solution for short haul passenger and cargo air transportation. These types of aircraft can land on ultra-short runways, including unpaved ones. The twin-engine short haul aircraft has low operating and maintenance costs.
