Today, April 20, an A320neo aircraft landed at Tashkent airport, becoming the 23rd in the Uzbekistan Airways fleet of the Airbus family.

The aircraft, in a two-class configuration with 170 seats, arrived from Tainan, Taiwan, and was greeted with a water arch in accordance with tradition. The aircraft, with registration number UK32040, was delivered on a long-term lease basis and currently has a simplified fuselage color scheme.

The ferrying of the aircraft was carried out by experienced airline pilots - Deputy Airbus flight squad commander Amrillo Nutfullaev and aircraft commander Ivan Zinoviev.

Flight attendant-instructor Yulia Agayeva and representative of the Uzaviation Agency Oybek Tangirov also participated in the delivery of this aircraft. The aircraft will soon be included in the schedule and will begin operating regular and charter flights.

“Uzbekistan Airways strives to maintain leadership in the region by offering a wide range of flight options, opening new destinations, and providing a high level of comfort and safety on its flights. With a sufficient number of aircraft in the fleet, Uzbek citizens will have greater travel options, and tourists will be able to visit our country comfortably. After completing the necessary procedures at the base airport, the aircraft will begin operating flights and will be part of the program to expand the route network of Uzbekistan Airways. In the coming weeks, we plan to deliver another aircraft of this modification,” said Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways JSC Shukhrat Shavkatovich Khudaykulov.

Today, the Airbus A320neo aircraft type is the most popular and one of the best medium-haul airliners in the world, demonstrating the highest level of safety and efficiency.

With comparable capacity (on average 150-200 seats), the updated aircraft, thanks to more economical engines and modern developments in fuselage design, can significantly save fuel.

It is worth noting that the level of nitrogen oxide emissions has been reduced by 50% compared to the previous generation, making the aircraft the most environmentally friendly among its competitors.
