“Taymetov. Messenger of Victory” — A Tribute to a Hero and a Lesson in Courage for Youth

A ceremonial screening of the documentary “Taymetov. Messenger of Victory” was held at the Palace of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, dedicated to Youth Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by employees of Uzbekistan Airways JSC and their families.

The film honors the legacy of Abdusamat Taymetov, the first Uzbek pilot, who on May 9, 1945, delivered the Victory Banner and the German Instrument of Surrender to Moscow. This remarkable historical episode lies at the heart of the film — a story filled with deep patriotism and national significance.

The screening evoked a strong emotional response from the audience. Attendees noted the film’s outstanding artistic and documentary value. The documentary has already earned international recognition, receiving several prestigious awards:
