An event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at the Uzbekistan Airways headquarters. The event was attended by the airline's management, employees, veterans, and young professionals.

In his congratulatory speech, Chairman of the Board Shukhrat Khudaykulov noted that independence is a priceless asset and that the comprehensive support of the aviation sector by the country's leadership is a great opportunity for the development of this industry in all structures. He also wished all employees success in their dedicated work for the benefit of Uzbekistan's development.

Over the past year, the airline has achieved a lot: Interline agreements have been concluded, which can already be used to reach several dozen countries around the world via connecting flights; contracts have been signed to replenish the fleet with new aircraft; work is underway to train personnel and develop a national pilot school, and a new business aviation complex, Tashkent East Airport, has been built. And, of course, special attention is being paid to improving the quality of services provided, which is always a top priority for the airline.

"Independence is the most important and cherished holiday for all Uzbekistanis. The country's aviation industry is a symbol of progress and openness to the world. And we, aviators, prove our love for our homeland through our daily work, contributing to its development and prosperity. On the eve of Independence Day, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the new modern airport built on the site of the Tashkent-East airfield. This large-scale project is the result of the tremendous efforts and responsibility of the entire Uzbekistan Airways team. Every brick and every detail of the new complex contains a piece of the labor and dedication of our specialists. We are proud to be able to contribute to strengthening the country's transport infrastructure and creating new opportunities for citizens and guests of Uzbekistan. May each of our flights serve as a symbol of freedom, independence, and confidence in the future!" said Shukhrat Khudaykulov.

An integral part of the event was the honoring of airline employees who demonstrated initiative, determination, and made a special contribution to the development of civil aviation.

By decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On awarding a group of civil servants and employees in the industrial and socio-economic spheres in connection with the thirty-fourth anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” employees of the joint-stock company Uzbekistan Airways were also honored:
