Historic event for Uzbekistan's aviation

For the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, aviation specialists confirmed the level of ICAO 6 (Expert) based on the results of an independent European assessment.

"Uzbekistan Airways" employees successfully passed the independent European assessment of professional English proficiency in accordance with ICAO/EASA procedures and received ICAO 6 (Expert) level on the ICAO scale.

This event marks the first time in the history of the Republic of Uzbekistan that national aviation specialists have confirmed their expert level of aviation English proficiency in the international independent assessment system.

The awarding of the ICAO 6 (Expert) level testifies to the highest level of language competence, the ability to effectively and accurately carry out radio-telephone and professional communication in standard, non-standard, and emergency situations, as well as full compliance with the strictest international requirements in the field of aviation safety.

This achievement is a significant contribution to improving the level of flight safety, strengthening the international authority of Uzbekistan's aviation, and developing a national system for language training and testing of aviation personnel in accordance with ICAO and EASA requirements.

The results of the independent assessment confirmed the high professionalism of Uzbekistan Airways flight pilots and linguists, as well as the effectiveness of the systematic work on implementing international standards in the field of aviation English.
