The Federal service for supervision of consumer rights protection and human welfare (Rospotrebnadzor), due to the peculiarities of the “omicron” strain, decided to shorten the duration of PCR tests.

"The period of validity of a negative laboratory test conducted by the PCR method is 48 hours from the time of the laboratory test result for COVID-19," the decree says.

Now, starting from December 8, such certificates will be valid only 48 hours (from the moment of taking the test). We remind you that previously the tests were valid for 72 hours.

This change is important both for the entry of foreigners into the Russian Federation and for tourists planning a trip to Russia.

Recall that passengers planning a trip to the Russian Federation are required to register in the application "Traveling without COVID-19" –
