Uzbekistan Airways and leasing company CALC (China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited) have signed Letters of Intent (LOI) for the delivery of four new Airbus A321neo aircraft in a two-class cabin configuration. The deliveries are scheduled for 2027–2028.
The new aircraft will feature Airbus’s state-of-the-art Airspace Premium cabins, a modern in-flight entertainment system, and high-speed wireless internet connectivity. These enhancements will enable passengers to enjoy digital services during their flight, ensuring a superior level of comfort on board. The agreements mark a logical continuation of the successful partnership between Uzbekistan Airways and CALC, highlighting the steady development of relations between the airline and one of the world’s leading aircraft lessors.

As part of the long-term fleet renewal and expansion program for 2026–2028, Uzbekistan Airways plans to receive a total of six Airbus A321neo aircraft from CALC by the end of 2028. This step will bring the airline’s A321neo fleet to 15 units, further strengthening its position as a leading carrier in Central Asia.
“The cooperation with CALC marks an important milestone in the modernization of Uzbekistan Airways. We are systematically renewing our fleet, implementing advanced technologies, and placing special emphasis on passenger comfort. The new Airbus A321neo aircraft combine efficiency, cutting-edge engineering, and superior passenger convenience — all of which align perfectly with our strategy for sustainable development and increased competitiveness in the international market,” — said Shukhrat Khudaykulov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways.
Winnie Liu, President and CCO of CALC, said: “We are pleased to deepen our partnership with Uzbekistan Airways through this new agreement for four A321neo aircraft. These latest-generation aircraft reflect CALC’s commitment to supporting our airline partners with sustainable, flexible fleet solutions that enhance operational efficiency and passenger comfort. This transaction further strengthens CALC’s footprint in Central Asia, a market of growing importance within our global portfolio.”

This delivery of new Airbus A321neo aircraft forms part of Uzbekistan Airways’ comprehensive fleet modernization and service digitalization program, aimed at improving operational efficiency, expanding the route network, and reducing the airline’s carbon footprint.
The signing of these agreements with CALC once again reaffirms the airline’s strategic commitment to adopting modern solutions, strengthening international partnerships, and continuously enhancing the quality of passenger service.
