Uzbekistan Airways to Become the First Central Asian Customer for Jiatai’s New Business-Class Seats

Uzbekistan Airways has selected Jiatai to supply passenger seats for its new Airbus A321neo aircraft. The airline will become the launch customer for the new JT220B Premium business-class seat, which will be equipped with an in-flight entertainment system. The agreement will also mark Jiatai’s first aircraft seating project in the Central Asian market.

Jiatai was selected as the supplier on June 15, 2026. Under the agreement, the company will supply passenger seats for more than 10 Airbus A321neo aircraft operated by Uzbekistan Airways. Delivery of the first shipset is scheduled for March 2028.

Equipping the new aircraft cabins forms part of Uzbekistan Airways’ ongoing efforts to enhance its service and provide greater comfort for passengers. When selecting seats for its new aircraft, the airline places particular emphasis on comfort, functionality and modern technologies that can make the journey more enjoyable throughout the flight.

The JT220B Premium is an electrically adjustable business-class seat featuring an electric actuation system, individual ambient lighting, privacy dividers and headrest wings. Together with ergonomic cushions, a generous seat pitch and a zero-gravity seating position, the seat is designed to provide passengers with greater personal space and enhanced comfort throughout the flight.

The new Airbus A321neo aircraft, expected to join the Uzbekistan Airways fleet from 2028 onwards, will be fitted with Jiatai seats selected in line with the airline’s requirements for comfort and functionality. Uzbekistan Airways expects the new cabin equipment to make travel more comfortable for passengers and contribute to further improvements in onboard service.
