The energy of unity and of sport: the employees of Uzbekistan Airways took part within the International marathon within Tashkent

Autumn within the capital was marked by a grandiose sporting holiday. Within the very heart of the city, upon the territory of the business center of Tashkent City, a large-scale International marathon took place, timed to a significant date — the 35 anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This vibrant event united thousands of people: professional athletes, amateurs of a healthy lifestyle, and everyone who chooses active movement forward.

The team of the national air carrier traditionally did not remain aside from such a significant event. 40 employees represented the Joint Stock Company of "Uzbekistan Airways" and the structural subdivisions of the company upon the running track. Having changed the usual uniform to a sports equipment, our colleagues went out to the start in order to represent the airline with honor. They demonstrated not merely an excellent physical shape, but also true cohesion, a team spirit, and an unwavering striving toward new achievements.

The marathon took place at the highest level, having presented a colossal charge of energy to the participants and to the spectators. Sincere smiles, the atmosphere of a healthy competition, and the ardent support of the fans made this day truly unforgettable. Every overcome kilometer of the distance was given easier thanks to the sense of the shoulder — to that very unity which always distinguished the workers of the aviation.

For Uzbekistan Airways, the support of such initiatives is much more than simply a participation within a sporting competition. This is an integral part of our corporate culture.
