New passenger terminal of Termez International Airport

Uzbekistan Airways completed the construction of a new passenger terminal at the Termez international airport, as part of the investment and infrastructure projects. On the eve of the opening ceremony of the International Bakhshi Art Festival in Termez, a new passenger terminal met guests and participants of the festival. They were satisfied with the services of the staff and facilities created for passengers at the airport. The modern terminal is capable of serving 400 passengers per hour.  Particular attention was paid to the acceleration of  the  customs control processes, inspection points and baggage claim. Passenger-friendly conditions are delivered in waiting rooms and CIP halls, rooms for mothers and children, places for prayers, a first-aid post and other departments.  There are duty free shops, Wi-Fi free access, as well as a visa issuing sector for foreign tourists. This terminal will serve to the opening of new international flights and increase the flow of tourists. Currently, it is planned to reconstruct the runway and other airfield pavements of the Termez international airport.

Regular flights on the route Tashkent-Jeddah-Tashkent

From April 1, 2019, Uzbekistan Airways increased the frequency of flights on the route Tashkent-Jeddah-Tashkent.  Regular passenger flights from Tashkent to Jeddah and back are performed daily according to the following timetable (LOCAL TIME): HY-335 Tashkent 18:40 - Jeddah 21:40 HY-336 Jeddah 23:45 - Tashkent 06:15 + 1 Flights are operated on modern Boeing-767 airliners.

Uzbekistan Airways transfers all flights to Istanbul to New Airport

Dear passengers! From April 7, 2019 all flights of the NAC Uzbekistan Airways from cities of Uzbekistan to Istanbul and back will be transferred from Ataturk International Airport to New Airport (İstanbul New Airport).The new airport is located at 35 km north of the European part of Istanbul. From April 7, Ataturk Airport will be closed for passenger flights. In accordance with the decision of the Aviation Authorities of Turkey, on April 5-6, all international flights to/from Ataturk Airport have been canceled. In this regard, The flights - HY271/272, HY273/274, HY275/276 (scheduled for April 5), and also flights HY271/272, HY273/274 (scheduled for April 6), have been canceled. For passengers with issued air tickets for specified flights, Uzbekistan Airways will provide an opportunity to refund at the sale counters or change the departure date without paying penalty fees within the validity period of air tickets. Rebooking of partially used air tickets is possible at the place of their purchase, at NAC representative offices abroad or at  General Sales Agency (GSA) . In order to avoid delays on flights and timely check-in, including all pre-flight formalities, Uzbekistan Airways asks passengers to arrive at the new airport well in advance, not less than three hours before the scheduled departure time. The airline also reminds that check-in at the New Airport of Istanbul ends in 1 hour, and boarding – 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Uzbekistan Airways provides new “Internet on board” Service

The national airline of Uzbekistan provides passengers with an excellent opportunity to conduct a flight without leaving their favorite social networks and, while on the Internet, communicate with their relatives and keep up to date with the latest news and events.  The new service “Internet on board” is available on the new Airbus A320neo of the NAC, equipped with a Wi-Fi wireless system with access to the Internet. Passengers are offered four types of packages: LITE - 20 Mb for using instant messengers, MEDIUM - 50 Mb for communicating on social networks or visiting news sites, STREAM - 120 Mb for online work or easy Internet surfing, and Internet package BUSINESS - 220 Mb  to maximize the capabilities of this service.  The minimum cost of the Internet tariff plan is $ 5.95.  For business class passengers, a 50 Mb Internet package is provided at no extra charge. You can pay for wireless Internet access on board the aircraft using international Visa bank cards and the national payment system Uzcard.  Also, this service can be issued on the official website of the airline, but not earlier than one day before departure. Information on NAC flights with wireless Internet access can be obtained on the airline's website in the "Seats availability" section of interactive services, and on flights a day before departure in the "Internet on board" section. Presentation of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan

On March 14, within the framework of the international tourism exhibition MITT-2019, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation hosted a presentation of the touristic potential of Uzbekistan and the aviation capabilities of Uzbekistan Airways. The presentation event was opened by the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation Botir Asadov.  A presentation was also made by the Chairman of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia and Uzbekistan Airways. Uzbekistan Airways provided detailed information on the route network, fleet modernization, ground infrastructure, and technological innovations that the National Airline of Uzbekistan offers to its passengers today. As part of the event, a ceremony was held to appoint the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, the director and public figure Yury Stoyanov to the ambassador of tourism of Uzbekistan in Russia. Expressing gratitude to the Uzbek side for such high confidence, the artist stressed that he would promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in Russia with all his strength and capabilities. Undoubtedly, the fruitful cooperation of the two countries in the field of tourism will favorably promote the popularization of the tourist destination of Uzbekistan among Russian citizens and an increase in the tourist flow to our country.

Uzbekistan Airways launches its Airbus A320neo aircraft

Today, March 14, the national airline of Uzbekistan begins flying on its new Airbus A320neo. The first flight on the route Tashkent–Baku–Tashkent will depart from the capital city’s airport at 01:40 a.m. local time. The first passengers of the new aircraft will be able to appreciate its advantages and the amenities created in the passenger cabin including its modern design, comfortable and wide passenger seats with individual screens for entertainment, the ability to use the communication system and Wi-Fi, improved sound insulation and much more, which will ensure a comfortable flight for them. Recall that the Uzbekistan Airways’ fleet was replenished with Airbus A320neo on March 11, 2019, the arrival of the second aircraft is expected in early April 2019. The Uzbekistan Airways’ new Airbus A320neo has a two-class layout and it is designed to carry 150 passengers (business class – 12, economy class – 138). It is 20% more economical than its predecessors thanks to the latest LEAP-1A engines manufactured by CFM International, providing better jet fuel efficiency, and modern operating time in the fuselage design, which improves the aircraft’s aerodynamic characteristics. The flight range of a highly economical airliner has been increased from 4,500 to over 6,000 kilometers, which will make it possible to cover the entire Central European region with flights.

Uzbekistan Airways presents its service in ITB Berlin

The tourism exhibition ITB Berlin  is the largest on the planet, on which 5 continents are represented. During the 5 days of the fair experts from the transport, tourism and hotel industries become familiar with the tourist destinations of about 200 countries around the world, the latest innovations in the travel industry. Interest in Uzbekistan especially increased after the visit of the President of our country to Germany in January of this year, during which, among other things, the importance of developing cooperation in science and education, expanding cultural ties and tourist exchanges was emphasized.  The leading tour operators of the world for the first days of the exhibition highly appreciated the decision of the Government of Uzbekistan to extend the visa-free regime to tourists - citizens of more and more countries of the world, as well as the introduction of an electronic visa system. During the work of the National Stand of Uzbekistan, meetings were held with both existing and potential partners of Uzbek airlines. Travel companies in Germany are interested in opening direct flights in the direction of Tashkent-Munich and express the hope that this flight will be soon introduced into the schedule of the Uzbek airline.
