Uzbekistan Airways awarded with Honorary Diploma

The Yemelyanovo Airport LLC, Russia, awarded Uzbekistan Airways with the Certificate of Honour for the air carrier’s contribution to develop international passenger transportation of the airport in Russia’s Krasnoyarsk in 2018. By the end of 2018, Uzbekistan Airways has transported 14,480 passengers through the airport in Krasnoyarsk. Uzbekistan Airways operates its regular flights to Krasnoyarsk twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, on modern Airbus A320 airliners.

Uzbekistan Airways exhibits its services at TITF 2019

The annual tourist exhibition Thai International Travel Fair (TITF 2019) is held from 13 to 17 February in Bangkok (Thailand). More than 1,100 companies from Europe, Asia and Oceania exhibited their stands at the Queen Sitikit exhibition pavilion: tourist organizations and agencies, air carriers, hotel organizations  spheres. Uzbekistan Airways participates in TITF 2019 with the Thai Air Service and Travelers Design Club companies - the entrusted NAC passenger traffic agents.   The stand of the National Airline of Uzbekistan is decorated in the national style, visitors of the stand can get full information about the capabilities of the national air carrier, its services, transportation fees and etc., they are also invited to take a memorable photo in Uzbek national costumes.  For the first time, NAC presented a unique collector's publication about the tourism potential of Uzbekistan “10 Reasons to Visit Uzbekistan”, published in Thai with sponsorship from agents.  Organized performances of professional artists of our republic on the main stage.  Guests, exhibitors and visitors can see the diversity and beauty of national dances and Uzbek folklore throughout the entire exhibition. It should be noted that this year, the stand of Uzbekistan Airways is particularly popular among representatives of the Thai tourist industry and visitors of the exhibition.  On the first day of the exhibition is implemented several group tours for more than 300 passengers to Uzbekistan, Russian Federation and Turkey.  Also planned is the drawing of 3 free air tickets of economy class for the flight of the NAC on the route Bangkok-Tashkent-Bangkok.

Uzbekistan Airways presents its services at the tourism exhibition in Israel

Uzbekistan Airways participates in the 25th annual International Mediterranean Tourism Exhibition “IMTM”, which takes place on February 12-13, 2019 in Tel Aviv. Uzbekistan Airways and Boeing: cooperation expands

Uzbekistan Airways and Boeing reached an agreement to provide services that will enable the airline to more efficiently and effectively maintain its 787-8 Dreamliner fleet through the Boeing Landing Gear Exchange program. This program offers a simple and cost-effective solution for overhauling the landing gear significantly reduces the time spent on maintenance, which helps to quickly return the aircraft to operation and concentrate resources on the main activity. This service provides for the replacement of the landing gear struts requiring repair with a certified set of reserves from Boeing and allows operators to avoid the need to conclude a contract, plan and monitor overhaul. Boeing will provide more efficient maintenance and support for the Boeing787-8 Dreamliner aircraft fleet of the national airline of Uzbekistan. “We are proud to provide our customers with value-added services that deliver results and drive efficiencies in their operations. This is exactly what our Landing Gear Exchange program aims to do, thanks to which our customers receive a cost-effective and reliable way to carry out quick and effective repairs,” said Mike Fleming, vice president of services for the commercial sector at Boeing Global Services. It should be noted that Uzbekistan Airways and Boeing have been closely cooperating for over 20 years in the supply, operation and maintenance of modern passenger aircraft. Together, the companies operate a joint Composite Repair Shop at the Uzbekistan Airways Technics aircraft maintenance enterprise. Uzbekistan Airways flies to more than 40 destinations to Europe, Asia, and operate charter flights from Alaska to New Zealand. Currently, the NAC operates three Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, in 2019-2020 the fleet is expected to be replenished with another three liners of this type. With the receipt of these new Dreamliners, the national airline of Uzbekistan will become the leading Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner operator in the CIS countries.

Uzbekistan Airways handles first visa free tourist from Italy

Uzbekistan Airways received the first visa free tourist from Italy. A tourist arrived to the capital of Uzbekistan on the flight of “Uzbekistan Airways”, which became the first guest to arrive from Italy under expanded visa free provisions. In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic “On additional measures to accelerate the development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, Uzbekistan introduced 30 day visa free stays for citizens of Israel, Indonesia, South Korea Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and Japan in February, 2018. The regime was extended to Tajikistan in March, France in October and to citizens of 45 additional countries from February 1st, 2019, including the Italian Republic. Representatives of the NAC and the capital’s airport met the first “visa-free” tourist at the “Tashkent” international airport named after I.Karimov, he was presented with souvenirs and brand products of the airline. A guest from Italy, Giglio Massimo, arrived in our country for the first time, during a week-long tour, plans to visit all the sights of the capital and take a closer look at the rich history of our region. Uzbekistan Airways performs its services at EMITT Istambul 2019

New banking card will allow to fly free on Uzbekistan Airways flights

A presentation of the NAK-NBU co-branded banking card of the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent. This card, issued in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Airways and the Visa international payment system, is a novelty for the residents of Uzbekistan. Its advantage lies in the fact that when making daily purchases of goods and services, the cardholder earns points. After accumulating a certain number of points, they can be spent on acquiring a free ticket for the Uzbekistan Airways flight in any direction to which the accrued number of points allows, or on upgrading the service class. The NAK-NBU co-branded card can be issued at the bank at the request of the client, either in national currency or in US dollars. If to open a Visa Gold card, the cardholder need to replenish a card account with UZS 150,000, and a Visa Platinum card with UZS 250,000, then to activate a NAK-NBU card the minimum amount will be UZS 400-800 thousand or US$50-100, and points will be credited to depending on the type of card. The client received an additional Welcome bonus during opening of the card, which includes a 1000-mile flight, traveler insurance, concierge service – booking hotel rooms around the world, booking air tickets and assisting in their purchase, meeting and wires. Also, owners of such banking cards are given discounts in the amount of from 5% to 20% on goods and services of partners of the international payment system Visa.
