Payment for Uzbekistan Airways' air tickets by MasterCard

The existing methods of paying online for the flights of Uzbekistan Airways through the airline's website were supplemented by the option to pay through the MasterCard payment system. Previously, this feature was only available through the UzCard and VISA payment systems. Regular passenger flights on the route Tashkent-Tbilisi-Tashkent

Uzbekistan Airways is a participant of Tashkent Travel Mart 2019

On April 15, 2019 in the capital hotel "Hyatt Regency Tashkent" was held the grand opening ceremony of the tourist exhibition Tashkent Travel Mart 2019 in B2B format. Tashkent Travel Mart is a modern platform for building and developing partnership relations among representatives of tourist organizations from countries around the world. The national airline of Uzbekistan, being one of the partners and exhibitor, presented its services as a dynamically developing airline of the Central Asian region, which makes flights to more than 40 cities of the world. Uzbekistan Airways received the fourth Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner passenger aircraft

On April 13, 2019, the fleet of the National Airline of Uzbekistan was replenished with the fourth Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. The aircraft was acquired as part of an investment project to upgrade and expand the NAC aircraft fleet with modern aircraft to ensure competitiveness and safety of flights. The new aircraft arrived from the manufacturing plant like the previous three Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. It also features GE Aviation's GEnx-1B engines, which provide low noise, minimal CO2 emissions, and better fuel efficiency. The airliner is designed to carry 246 passengers, 24 - in business class and 222 - in economy class. It is designed to provide maximum comfort for passengers. Spacious lounge, comfortable and wide seats, new flooring, lighting and noise insulation, personal HD touch screens for using entertainment programs make an impression and provide the passengers of Uzbekistan Airways an exciting pastime in flight. Note that the next Boeing 787-8 differs from the previous three Dreamliners operated by the NAC with the availability of equipment for accessing the Internet. This is the third liner of Uzbekistan Airways, where you can use the “Internet on board” service. Panasonic Avionics Corporation is a communications provider aboard the aircraft and also a supplier of in-flight entertainment and communication systems (Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity) as on the A320neo of the NAC. The national airline of Uzbekistan, being the first customer of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in Central Asia, began their commercial operation in 2016. In accordance with the NAC development plans in 2020, its fleet will have six airliners of this type and will become the leading operator of such aircraft in the CIS. The modernization of the fleet will allow the Uzbekistan Airways to adequately represent the republic’s interests in the global air transportation market, will have a significant impact on increasing the economic potential of the country, including in the development of domestic and foreign tourism, and will certainly open a new stage in the development of the national air carrier.

Excursion to the world of aviation

On the eve of April 12 - World Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics, an introductory tour was organized at the Tashkent International Airport named after I.Karimov for activists of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan and students of the Tashkent Tax College. The youth and their teachers visited the international airline terminal and the new arrival hall, observed the processes of passenger check-in, passing inspection, handing over and receiving baggage, passing through the “green” and “red” corridors. They learned about the rules of air transportation, passport control, special equipment located in the terminal, saw the main production operations and operating mechanisms that allow the airport to operate continuously. They also had the opportunity to visit the most modern Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. Airline specialists told the youth about the structure of the aircraft, its technical features and capabilities. According to the students, the tour left their most vivid impressions, and thanked the airport staff for the warm and cordial welcome.

Enriching knowledge of immigration rules

In the Directorate of Uzbekistan Airways, the Department of the organization of transportation and ground handling of the airline together with the Representative Office of the NAC in Paris and the Embassy of France in the Russian Federation held a seminar on Schengen Visa Check and Immigration Rules of the French Republic. At the seminar, organized to increase the knowledge of the specialists of the NAC in the field of visa and immigration rules of France and Schengen countries, as well as improve the work on identifying passengers with inadequate travel documents, officer of the French Embassy in the Russian Federation, officer Frank Petretic, introduced the staff of the airline and its structural units with new types of Schengen visas and their protective features. The workshop participants received comprehensive information on the required documents for entry into the countries of the European Union. This event is a positive example of cooperation of the National Airline of Uzbekistan with diplomatic missions of foreign countries to share experience, and, undoubtedly, will further improve the quality of service provided to passengers at airports in the republic.

The second Airbus A320neo of the NAC arrived in Uzbekistan

On April 9, 2019 in the capital airport named after Islam Karimov landed, the second in a row, the newest and highly economical aircraft of Uzbekistan Airways Airbus A320neо. This aircraft, like the previous A320neо, differs from its predecessors in its high efficiency thanks to the latest LEAP-1A engines manufactured by CFM International, improved aerodynamic characteristics due to modern developments in wing design and, notably, equipment with wireless Internet access. It also has a two-class layout and is designed to carry 150 passengers (business class - 12, economy class - 138). The modern design of the passenger compartment creates maximum comfort for passengers in flight. Comfortable and wide seats with individual screens for entertainment, an improved air conditioning system that guarantees the freshness of the air and its even distribution in the cabin of the aircraft, will give the Uzbekistan Airways passengers the most pleasant feelings from the flight. Accessible Internet will help passengers pass the time and quietly get to their destination. The airline offers four Internet connection service packages: LITE (20 Mb) - for communication via instant messengers, MEDIUM (50 Mb) - for browsing social networks and news sites, STREAM (120 Mb) - for work and Internet surfing, BUSINESS (220 Mb ) - to maximize the capabilities of this service. The minimum cost of the Internet tariff plan is $ 5.95, the maximum - $ 52.95. The in-flight communication provider is the Panasonic Avionics Corporation, which previously installed the In flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) onboard entertainment and communication system on the new Airbus A320neo and the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner which is operated by the NAC. This system allows passengers to have an exciting time using the entertainment program from personal HD touch screens, which includes many different movies, music, video games, navigation system, etc. Recall that the new aircraft were acquired as part of the development strategy and the program of modernization and unification of the NAC fleet. The first Airbus A320neo, received on March 11, has already been successfully operated on international routes of the airline. New passenger terminal of Termez International Airport

Uzbekistan Airways completed the construction of a new passenger terminal at the Termez international airport, as part of the investment and infrastructure projects. On the eve of the opening ceremony of the International Bakhshi Art Festival in Termez, a new passenger terminal met guests and participants of the festival. They were satisfied with the services of the staff and facilities created for passengers at the airport. The modern terminal is capable of serving 400 passengers per hour.  Particular attention was paid to the acceleration of  the  customs control processes, inspection points and baggage claim. Passenger-friendly conditions are delivered in waiting rooms and CIP halls, rooms for mothers and children, places for prayers, a first-aid post and other departments.  There are duty free shops, Wi-Fi free access, as well as a visa issuing sector for foreign tourists. This terminal will serve to the opening of new international flights and increase the flow of tourists. Currently, it is planned to reconstruct the runway and other airfield pavements of the Termez international airport.

Uzbekistan Airways transfers all flights to Istanbul to New Airport

Dear passengers! From April 7, 2019 all flights of the NAC Uzbekistan Airways from cities of Uzbekistan to Istanbul and back will be transferred from Ataturk International Airport to New Airport (İstanbul New Airport).The new airport is located at 35 km north of the European part of Istanbul. From April 7, Ataturk Airport will be closed for passenger flights. In accordance with the decision of the Aviation Authorities of Turkey, on April 5-6, all international flights to/from Ataturk Airport have been canceled. In this regard, The flights - HY271/272, HY273/274, HY275/276 (scheduled for April 5), and also flights HY271/272, HY273/274 (scheduled for April 6), have been canceled. For passengers with issued air tickets for specified flights, Uzbekistan Airways will provide an opportunity to refund at the sale counters or change the departure date without paying penalty fees within the validity period of air tickets. Rebooking of partially used air tickets is possible at the place of their purchase, at NAC representative offices abroad or at  General Sales Agency (GSA) . In order to avoid delays on flights and timely check-in, including all pre-flight formalities, Uzbekistan Airways asks passengers to arrive at the new airport well in advance, not less than three hours before the scheduled departure time. The airline also reminds that check-in at the New Airport of Istanbul ends in 1 hour, and boarding – 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
