Payment for Uzbekistan Airways' air tickets by MasterCard

The existing methods of paying online for the flights of Uzbekistan Airways through the airline's website were supplemented by the option to pay through the MasterCard payment system. Previously, this feature was only available through the UzCard and VISA payment systems. You can purchase the tickets of Uzbekistan Airways via the site In addition, there is an option to pre-select and book the seats in the aircraft cabins of the airline online, which is available on both paid and free basis.

Presentation of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan

On March 14, within the framework of the international tourism exhibition MITT-2019, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation hosted a presentation of the touristic potential of Uzbekistan and the aviation capabilities of Uzbekistan Airways. The presentation event was opened by the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation Botir Asadov.  A presentation was also made by the Chairman of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia and Uzbekistan Airways. Uzbekistan Airways provided detailed information on the route network, fleet modernization, ground infrastructure, and technological innovations that the National Airline of Uzbekistan offers to its passengers today. As part of the event, a ceremony was held to appoint the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, the director and public figure Yury Stoyanov to the ambassador of tourism of Uzbekistan in Russia. Expressing gratitude to the Uzbek side for such high confidence, the artist stressed that he would promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in Russia with all his strength and capabilities. Undoubtedly, the fruitful cooperation of the two countries in the field of tourism will favorably promote the popularization of the tourist destination of Uzbekistan among Russian citizens and an increase in the tourist flow to our country.

Uzbekistan Airways launches its Airbus A320neo aircraft

Today, March 14, the national airline of Uzbekistan begins flying on its new Airbus A320neo. The first flight on the route Tashkent–Baku–Tashkent will depart from the capital city’s airport at 01:40 a.m. local time. The first passengers of the new aircraft will be able to appreciate its advantages and the amenities created in the passenger cabin including its modern design, comfortable and wide passenger seats with individual screens for entertainment, the ability to use the communication system and Wi-Fi, improved sound insulation and much more, which will ensure a comfortable flight for them. Recall that the Uzbekistan Airways’ fleet was replenished with Airbus A320neo on March 11, 2019, the arrival of the second aircraft is expected in early April 2019. The Uzbekistan Airways’ new Airbus A320neo has a two-class layout and it is designed to carry 150 passengers (business class – 12, economy class – 138). It is 20% more economical than its predecessors thanks to the latest LEAP-1A engines manufactured by CFM International, providing better jet fuel efficiency, and modern operating time in the fuselage design, which improves the aircraft’s aerodynamic characteristics. The flight range of a highly economical airliner has been increased from 4,500 to over 6,000 kilometers, which will make it possible to cover the entire Central European region with flights.

Uzbekistan Airways presents its service in ITB Berlin

The tourism exhibition ITB Berlin  is the largest on the planet, on which 5 continents are represented. During the 5 days of the fair experts from the transport, tourism and hotel industries become familiar with the tourist destinations of about 200 countries around the world, the latest innovations in the travel industry. Interest in Uzbekistan especially increased after the visit of the President of our country to Germany in January of this year, during which, among other things, the importance of developing cooperation in science and education, expanding cultural ties and tourist exchanges was emphasized.  The leading tour operators of the world for the first days of the exhibition highly appreciated the decision of the Government of Uzbekistan to extend the visa-free regime to tourists - citizens of more and more countries of the world, as well as the introduction of an electronic visa system. During the work of the National Stand of Uzbekistan, meetings were held with both existing and potential partners of Uzbek airlines. Travel companies in Germany are interested in opening direct flights in the direction of Tashkent-Munich and express the hope that this flight will be soon introduced into the schedule of the Uzbek airline.

Uzbekistan Airways is a participant of MITT-2019

Uzbekistan Airways participates in a major international tourism exhibition in Moscow, which takes place from 12 to 14 March at the Expocentre, Moscow. In this tourism exhibition National air carrier is represented as part of the Unified National Stand of Uzbekistan with seven tourist organizations of the country. The event is also attended by representatives of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The MITT-2019 program is rich in: MITT Digital and Travel Trends conferences, Market Shocks panel discussion, Tourism as a Family Business talk shows, and many others. During the three-day work of this exhibition, Uzbekistan Airways will present its capabilities in the field of air transportation.  It is also planned to hold meetings in the B2B format with potential partners for the transportation of touristic groups to Uzbekistan by flights of the Uzbekistan Airways. MITT is the largest event in the tourism industry, both in the CIS countries and abroad.  This year representatives from 230 countries take part in it.  And the active participation of Uzbekistan Airways not only at MITT, but also at other international tourism exhibitions and fairs reinforces its image as a steadily developing airline that provides its passengers with a comfortable and safe flight on the newest airlines of the leading corporations Boeing and Airbus, providing quality service, both on board the aircraft and on the ground.

First Tourist Information Center opens at Tashkent International Airport

On March 12, the opening of the first Tourists Information Center in Uzbekistan was held at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov. Representatives of  Administration of Tashkent city, Uzbekistan Airways,  State Committee for Tourism Development, Tashkent International Airport  and the media took part at the event. It should be noted that the main purpose of the tourist information center is to provide foreign guests with all the necessary information for their comfortable stay in Uzbekistan.  It will provide such services as booking a taxi, hotels, take from and to airport, tourist SIM cards, tourist information materials (maps, brochures, tourist routes) and others. The opening of the facility is carried out in accordance with the Concept of development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2019-2025, which envisages further boosting the tourism potential of our country. According to documents plans to install tourist information centers throughout the country.

Uzbekistan Airways will start operating the newest Airbus A320neo aircraft

On March 11, 2019, the fleet of the NAC was replenished with the first highly economical Airbus A320neo.  The newest A320neo aircraft of the NAC have been ordered in a two-class layout having 150 seats each including 12 business class and 138 economy class seats. They will be 20% more economical than their predecessors thanks to new, more economical LEAP -1A engines of the CFM International  company providing the best fuel efficiency, and modern developments in the design of the fuselage improving its aerodynamic characteristics.   Their flight range has been increased from 4,500 up to more than 5,000 kilometers, as this will allow covering entire Central Europe with flights. The modern design of the passenger compartment creates maximum comfort for passengers in flight.  Comfortable and wide seats with individual screens designed for entertainment, communication systems and Wi-Fi, an improved air conditioning system that guarantees the freshness of the air and its even distribution in the cabin of the aircraft, will allow you to get a completely different, more pleasant feeling of the flight. Recall, the contract for the supply of two Airbus A320neo was concluded in 2017, in accordance with the development strategy and the program aimed to modernize and unify the air fleet of the NAC. Delivery of the second aircraft is scheduled for the end of this month. To date, Uzbekistan Airways has a modern fleet of aircraft. All flights of the airline are carried out on aircraft of leading world manufacturers - Airbus and Boeing: Boeing 757/767, Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, Airbus A320, and also cargo Boeing 767-300BCF.

Uzbekistan Airways takes part in presentation of new summer season at Pulkovo Airport

On 1 March 2019, a regular meeting of the “New Season”, organized by the Pulkovo International Airport, took place at the Four Seasons Hotel. The meeting was attended by representatives of leading airlines operating flights from Pulkovo Airport, the Tourism Development Committee and the Regional Transport Committee, tour operators and the media. Uzbekistan Airways, which has repeatedly been among the leaders in terms of traffic at Pulkovo Airport and deservedly recognized as a reliable and punctual airline, was invited to the event as an honored guest. The stand of the airline was visited by the Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg, Jakhongir Irgashev, who praised the work of the Uzbekistan Airways  Representative Office both in the development of air travel and the support of compatriots abroad. The representative of the Uzbekistan Airways  Zafar Saydazimov introduced the summer schedule of the National Airline of Uzbekistan to the guests and participants of the meeting.
