Uzbekistan Airways Technics receives another Tajik Air’s aircraft
On August 26, 2019 another Tajik Air’s airplane landed at the “Tashkent” International Airport named after Islam Karimov, as it arrived for maintenance and repairs (MRO) at the Uzbekistan Airways Technics (UAT) belonged to Uzbekistan Airways, the national air company of Uzbekistan.
This is not the first Tajik Air’s airliner to undergo MRO at UAT. Mutually beneficial cooperation with Tajik Air has been established since 2016.
There are plans to carry out a complicated C-check form of maintenance on the arrived aircraft.
Oleg Volokitin, Deputy Chief Manager, MRO Center for Western Aircraft, UAT, said, “Our airline has the necessary technical facilities and qualified personnel to provide all types of MRO for Western-made aircraft. Its capacities make it possible to carry out almost all labour-intensive forms of technical maintenance – from painting to overhaul – not only of its aircraft, but also to offer these services to foreign air carriers. The experts working with our enterprise are making every effort to satisfy customers’ requests, namely, to timely perform quality maintenance of their aircraft.”
It should be noted the Uzbekistan Airways Technics’ current portfolio of orders for aircraft MRO is very dense, and this, in turn, indicates to its positive image abroad. Every year, airplanes of SCAT Airlines (Kazakhstan), Tajik Air and other foreign air carriers undergo technical maintenance at the UAT in Tashkent. Until the end of 2019, another Tajik Air’s aircraft and the one of SCAT Airlines are expected to arrive for MROs.
