Uzbekistan Airways switches to winter flight schedule
Uzbekistan Airways has switched to the winter flight schedule. During this period, the airline will operate its flights from Uzbekistan to 24 countries of the world including 64 international destinations. Domestic flights will include eight destinations.
Compared to the previous season, the frequency of international flights was significantly increased. In particular, the number of flights of one of the most popular destinations en route Tashkent – Moscow increased to 27 flights per week, and in total with flights to Moscow from Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, Termez, Namangan and Fergana, this indicator reaches 49 flights per week.
Also, as regards the winter flight schedule, the air carrier included an additional flight to St. Petersburg from Samarkand. Uzbekistan Airways fly from Tashkent to the northern capital of Russia five times a week.
Among the cities of the CIS, the air carrier began to fly more often from Tashkent to Dushanbe and Rostov – twice a week. Flights from Tashkent to Bishkek and Minsk are available to passengers three times a week.
As for the cities of foreign countries, Turkey is one of the most popular destinations among Uzbeks. In the winter period, the schedule includes 10 flights from Tashkent to Istanbul and two flights from Samarkand. Tashkent – Seoul flight is also in demand, so this destination includes seven flights a week in the winter flight schedule.
With the start of winter navigation, the NAC Uzbekistan Airways introduces new regular flights to a number of cities: these are three regular flights a week to Jeddah (only charter flights were previously operated), three times a week to Mumbai and to Vladivostok once a week on Saturdays.
Code-sharing agreements with Turkish Airlines, Alitalia, S7 Airlines, Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, Belavia, Air Baltic, Ural Airlines continue to operate. In addition, passenger electronic Interline agreements with 37 airlines around the world are in operation, thanks to which the Uzbekistan Airways’ air route network significantly expands and passengers are provided with a list of travel destinations taking into account connecting flights of partner airlines.
