Day of Uzbekistan celebrated at Saint-Petersburg’s Pulkovo International Airport
The event was organized by Uzbekistan Airways’ office jointly with the St. Petersburg’s airport. Guests were offered photos of the Samarkand Registan center.
The St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo International Airport celebrated the Day of Uzbekistan, the airport informed. The event was organized by Uzbekistan Airways’ representative office jointly with Pulkovo and some assistance was provided by an Aerotour Company.
Guests were invited to take a picture against the background of the picture of the Samarkand’s Registan center, as well as to taste Uzbek fruits, sweets and samsa.
Zafar Saidzimov, Spokesperson, Uzbekistan Airways’ representative office in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Anna Nikiforova, a worker of this airport, pronounced their speeches at the meeting.
“After the end of the official part of the ceremony, the national dance collective named Bahor performed Uzbek national dances. The Lola Zhalolova’s Fashion House presented an ethnic fashion show in the Pulkovo airport hall for the first time,” the airport’s press release said.
Passengers of this airport showed great interest in the holiday. They were interested in information about tourist programs and historical places of interest in Uzbekistan.
Since last year, Uzbekistan Airways has been the leader in terms of air traffic to the Pulkovo International Airport.
